A one volume edition of this important reference by Waite in which he provides a comprehensive look at the history of Freemasonry, as well as it's literature, mythology, rituals and symbolism. Although the work attracted some hostility from within the Masonic movement, Waite's 'New Encyclopaedia' proved to be very popular, and was the most successful of his books in Waite's own lifetime.
